What is ReGES next?

ReGES next is a scientific study that will give us a better understanding of the lives and everyday routines of adolescents and young adults with a refugee background who have been living in Germany for several years. We are particularly interested in the areas of school, education, apprenticeship/vocational training and work. The participants’ very personal experiences are particularly valuable to us and to other researchers.

Since 2018, we have been regularly surveying parents of refugee children, as well as refugee adolescents themselves. We have stayed in contact with them for several years to better understand how they live and learn.
