Information for young adults

What is ReGES next?

ReGES next is a scientific study. We are interested to find out how young adults like you, who came to Germany some years ago, are doing today – for example at school, in employment preparation programmes, in vocational training and apprenticeships, or at work. What are your experiences in everyday life?

What things help you to cope? What problems are you having? Your answers can help improve the situation for people from many different countries who live in Germany.

This is why we are inviting you to continue taking part in the study. It is the only way we can learn more about your current situation.

How is the study conducted?

The study focuses on young adults like you.

To better understand how you live and learn, we would like to ask you a few questions. At regular intervals, you will be sent postal invitations to participate in our online surveys. The questions are in German and it takes about 20 minutes to answer them.

Which questions do we ask you?

We want to gain a comprehensive picture of your current situation. That is why we ask you about your observations and experiences in Germany.

For example, we would like to know: How do you currently rate your German language skills? What school do you attend or have you already left school? Are you in an employment preparation programme, in vocational training or an apprenticeship, studying at university or do you already have a job? How happy are you with your current situation? How are you? What are your plans for the future? Do you want to stay in Germany or return to your country of origin? What do you think about politics?

All the information you provide to us is stored separately from your name and your address. This means that the people who work with this information later on have no way of knowing the answers you gave.

Your answers to our questions make a valuable contribution to the success of the study.

Many thanks for your support!

What happens to your answers? You can find all the information about data protection in the ReGES next study here.
